Biography

I’m originally from the North Shore of Montreal, specifically Mirabel and Saint-Augustin. I’m very close to my family and friends, and I’ve known from a young age that I wanted to become a lawyer. Criminal law has always stood out as more than just a field of interest — it’s a true passion and my natural calling.

I played high-level hockey throughout my youth, which instilled in me a strong competitive spirit, a deep sense of teamwork, and a constant drive to push beyond my limits.

I moved to Thetford Mines to play collegiate AAA hockey while pursuing a degree in Arts and Letters at the local CEGEP. Although this academic path may seem unrelated to law, it actually helped me develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a strong sensitivity to language — all of which are key tools I use daily in my legal practice. I remain active and still play hockey and golf today, purely for fun… though always with a bit of personal challenge.

Later, I enrolled in a certificate program in theatrical performance in Trois-Rivières. That training turned out to be essential in my current profession, as theatre and courtroom advocacy are surprisingly intertwined. Whether it’s speaking fluently, using language with precision, or feeling comfortable addressing an audience — all of these skills now serve me greatly in court.

I then moved to Ottawa to complete my civil law degree (LL.L.). Driven by my passion for criminal law and courtroom advocacy, I took every available course in the field, both theoretical and practical, allowing me to deepen my legal knowledge in the area that truly inspires me.

After returning to the North Shore of Montreal, I continued my journey with El-Haddad Avocats, where I completed my articling and now practice as part of a talented, caring, and professional team.

I also worked in the restaurant industry for nearly eight years. That experience taught me how to manage stress and greatly contributes to the human side of my work today as a criminal lawyer.
